Windows & Door fitting

leaking aluminium windows

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.52 PM

Some of my aluminium frames windows leak when the wind blows rain at certain angles. The windows are rectangular split into 2 square panes where the lower pane is hinged and opens out. The rain comes in at the corners of the top lower pane (the one that is hinged). There are no holes on the upper pane for the rain to run through. Seems like the design is for the water to run down the verticle edges. Still it doesn't happen to all windows. Anyone heard of this happening and is there an easy fix? In the process of replacing windows with uPVC...but in the meantime gotta find an easy fix.

Clear silicone...:) temp measure but will work. You need new windows mate.
