distance between hob and hood

HI what is is the minimum and maximum distance I need to have between the hob and hood for a BC approval?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I don't think there is a maximum or minimum distance specified. The distance is usually around 750 mm above the hob to the underside of the hood. Clearly you don't want it too low else you will find it obstructs you when you are cooking.

650 mm electric hob minimum. 750 mm gas hob minimum. No maximum but higher you go less effective. It’s in the building regs. But always refer to manufacturers instructions
