Fresh plaster, matt, silk, made a right hash of things :(

Hi Hoping for some help and advice. Recently purchased a property to renovate, have had several things done, running short on cash so inevitably have done the homeowner thing and tried to do stuff ourselves... Everywhere has been freshly plastered , and the plaster is dry (completed some weeks ago). We’ve nearly finished one room paint wise and it’s clear that something is really wrong. We’ve tried to read up about doing this properly but... This is what we did: - applied two coats of watery matt emulsion (Leyland) to fresh plaster, a days drying time in between each coat. - applied two coats of silk emulsion (leyland) on top, a days drying time in between each coat. The emulsion peels off down to the matt coat and in some places the bare plaster, at the slightest touch. Used masking tape to do woodwork, went to carefully remove and took off half the bloody wall of emulsion... What have we done to cause this? Is it technique? Materials? Problem with the plaster? Please help. And please be kind - we’re struggling with a new business and two babies in the middle of a house renovation and we won’t be able to afford to get someone in to help for some time... Thanks in advance :) Update 1 - Thanks for the reply Internal Repairs! The paint does both - peels between layers and peels back to the bare plaster, it depends on how much ‘force’ as such is put on it. The masking tape incident - peeled off down to the thinned matt coats. My husband tried to remove a clump of dust/something or other stuck in the top silk coat, picked at it and it peeled back to bare plaster. We will try to get some opinions on it from others... Update 2 - thanks for the reply D.A. Collins Decorating! The plaster was pinky in colour when we started painting and it was a good period of time after it had been done, so we assumed it was dry? Perhaps wrongly? We may have to go for the sealants you suggested - daft question most likely, but we have to sand the walls down to the plaster again before using the primer right?
