What can I have done to prevent or /lessen the noise from next door.

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.52 PM

Luckily semi detached so problem on one side only. I keep hearing bathroom activity which adjoins one bedroom as well as children running and voices whether I'm upstairs or downstairs. What can be done?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

There are a number of soundproofing options but ultimately it depends on what is causing the noise. If it is vibration between two semi detached properties it is very difficult to contend with. If it is simply a reduction in decibel level, than a number of options of installations are available. You should be aware, most systems are pricey as materials for acoustic boards etc are very high. There are cheaper alternatives which will alter dimensions in your property. Have a look at our website for advice. www.bcanorthern.com
