Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.52 PM

1)Before I hire tradesmen, do they supply materials and equipment for bathroom floor titles example adhesive, gout, the trims, gout sealer etc.? 2) Do I need to buy durabase matting for bathroom floor? 3) which is best anti-slip tiles, water resistance, for bathroom floor and wall?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

1.depends to you, but to be honest if you can buy better cause tax. 2. Most probably. If your floor is wood base you have two options: membrane or boards. Really depends on floor and tradesman. 3. There’s a chemical for making them anti slip. But floor porcelain and wall personal choice. Om

1) A good tradesman will be able to supply and install. They should offer prices comparable with buying yourself, however they will get and supply the right products. 2) This depends on the surface material being tiled, a professional tiler would advise and supply the right product. 3) There are a load of different brands of non slip tiles, each tiler will have their preferences, you shouldn’t need anti slip wall tiles. The best tile would also depend on the size, style and material you want to use, again a professional tiler would be able to advise when reviewing the project. Steve

Most tilers will prefer to use products they're familiar with. I would get a couple of quotes and see what the tiler says. He may be able to but his materials cheaper than you and offer you a discount. If you have a wooden floor it still needs to be structurally sound. If it is there are several types of fracture mat available. Again ask your tiler. There are non slip tiles out there, if that's what you want. However it refines the amount of choices you have, and most.floor tiles are suitable for bathrooms. And as the previous statement states, you can but a nonslip product which is invisible, and only is apparent when the tiles are wet. So it does not alter the appearance in any way. Also it is worth considering that most baths and shower trays do not have a non slip surface. Unless it's a health requirement, maybe broaden your choice of floor tile by just choosing one that you like!
