Fitting the floor or iron radiator first?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.52 PM

We are looking to fit new wooden flooring and cast iron radiators throughout our home. And looking for the most efficient order and route to do this. Any advice would be appreciated. The radiators will not necessarily be located in the same location or be the same size as the current non cast iron radiators Thanks

If the radiator is cast iron and has the feet that fit on the floor then the first fix should be done first. Then floor fitted then radiaitor on top of the floor. If it is not done this way the flooring will need to be cut aroind the feet of the radaitor. The flooring should be fitted first only is the radiator is wull hung

A cast iron radiator requires a good solid base to sit on plus anchorage to the wall Floor needs to go in first
