Connecting downstairs radiators from rooms above

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.33 PM

We currently have a conventional boiler on the ground floor and tank in loft in a 3 storey house fitted by previous owners to replace a hot air system. They have fitted radiators in all rooms but the downstairs radiators have the plastic pipe work buried under a concrete floor. I don’t like that the pipes are buried underground and would rather them be boxed in on the walls coming down from the rooms above in case of leaks. On the upstairs floors the pipes are under wood floor boards so easier to access. Is it possible to have the pipe work which is all plastic rerouted to the downstairs radiators so nothing is under concrete downstairs and leave the old redundant pipes buried? We are looking to replace upstairs carpets so wondering if this could be done at the same time.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes, although we would have to come off the 22mm or 28mm pipe upstairs, not endlessly tee off a 15mm pipe.
