What paint to use on garage interior walls

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.32 PM

We are planning on painting our interior garage walls (they are a combination of breeze block and brick). Someone has suggested using masonry paint. However, we aren't sure if it is suitable to be used internally.. !? We currently use the garage as a gym so don't want anything that might impact breathing. Any suggestions as to what type of paint to use? Is masonry suitable? Thank you.

if The garage is not heated no matter what paint you put on it will gradually crack or craze or blister because of the salts in the cement effervescence will seep through and break the paint down ,if you got some kind of warm air going in any emulsion will be fine just dilute first couple of coats

You can use masonry paint to get a more durable surface.

Hi both emulsion or masonry paint would be okay. I would use masonry, thin the first coat slightly then one more full coat that should do.
