What ratio of cement and all in ballest to use for patio/small drive?

5 ballast to 1 cement

Hi, ive have been building over 40yrs, and this is a good ?, ive always mix 3-1, but iam not saying this is right, it is what i do , i google your ? and got diff answers, some say 2-1, but i think to strong chance of cracking up, i would mix 3-1 makeing sure the 1 cement is a good shovel full as when you put shovel in bag and pull out it levels of and you dont get full shovel best to tip cement into box so you get full shovel best wishes colin.
