Leak from drainage pipe in shower area into my kitchen.

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.12 PM

Shower is leaking into my kitchen, only when it's struggling to drain fast enough. Its not over flowing over the tray. When u look into the plug hole it's full of water still and hasn't emptyed even though its leaked. Once the shower is off the leak stops. Its happen 3 times now, however it seems to be once I've used the drain unblocker. Not sure if it's a coincidence or that's what's making it worse.? However the leak is about a meter away from the shower drain pipe..

The water that remains in the drain when the shower is off is the water trap, it stops smells coming Back up from the drain and should be there. it sounds like the trap needs re-siliconing to the shower tray as water can get underneath the seal if it is not fixed and sealed properly.
