Moving meters and boiler for garage conversion
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.12 PM
We are thinking to add shower room to our garage but it seems we will have to move our current electric and gas meters and also possibly boiler and/or pipes. Would this be possible?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Nothing is impossible but like the last builder said you may need to move the meters to another position in the property but sometimes this can be very expensive so do your homework and contact the service provider and obtain some prices for the new layout of the items in question then you may need a builder to dig out some areas and then a good electrician and a good gas fitter to connect these back to life as sometimes the companies will only do part of the main works. Expect a bill of around £8,000 for this job.

It's hard to give a suggestion to a problem that you have not seen, but why do you have to move the G&E meters ,when you can always box it, is the garage to small that you can't build your T&B in the other end away from the G&E meters,
You can build a small extension for that amount for the T&B, Good luck
