Converting pitched roof into roof terrace

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.31 PM

Hi! We live in an upstairs flat of a Georgian terrace in NW London with no garden access. The rear of the property has a pitched roof (approx 7m x4m). Is it possible to convert that pitched roof into a roof terrace? Thank you!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes but you will need to contract an architect to draw up plans and calculate the structural loads. You will need planning permission and building regs Once you have the plans then you can tender out for quotations.

Once you have drawings, planning permission and building regs Then you can send out to tender. If people down the road have had the Conversion, try and ask them for drawings plus how are you going to excess onto terrace

Anything is possible under the regulations and it's approved by building regulations.
