Tile missing from beneath the washing machine can a piece of wood be used to level?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.31 PM

Hi, My washing machine needed replacing and since pulling it out I have noticed that there is no floor tile underneath of the old one and they were only layed up to the legs of the cabinet. This now means that the new machine will be partly on concrete and balanced partially on the edge of the floor tile which makes it not level. Approx 15mm difference in height difference Also have little wiggle room as its going into the existing cabinet The rear of the machine has adjustable legs which can be adjusted but is possible to use a piece of wood to level the floor in line with the tile and rest the washing machine on top? If so what material will be suitable?

Lay spare tiles to level the floor and also seal the floor if the washing machine was to ever drip it wouldn't damage the concrete on the house
