Tiling

Tiles are off center and have left a gap around the window

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.30 PM

Hi! My partner and I started tiling yesterday and have discovered today that one of the tiles was placed off center to the two window frames. This means that the tile on the inside of the window frame sits flush on one side while there is about a 5mm gap on the other side. Is there anything we can do at this stage or will the tiles need to be removed? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Only way to correct this is remove the tiles and restart this time starting from the center of the window I’m afraid

You will have to restrip the tiles and clean and redo unfortunately working from the centre point. No offence but always get skilled tradesmen to do skilled jobs as it causes more hassle for you then.
