Lead valley: dampness getting through

Anonymous user 29 April 2012 - 8.50 PM

Had lead valley put last year. Been up in roof today after rainy night, and there seems to be something wrong with the valley. You can see in the youtube clip from under the roof there's a wooden batten that runs down the valley. http://youtu.be/Hj3w3sEqpvo The batton is damp as I run my finger along it, and I suspect it isn't due to condensation as last night was rainy but wasnt cold. The whitish strip besides the batten is lead. Can any roofing expert see what the problem is?

perhaps the slates or tiles have not been ,overlapped onto the lead by the required amount,65mm, is ideal. Or slates might have slipped. Thanks mick
