Tension shower rail that will stay up!
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.51 PM
Hi... we need a shower rail in our bathroom. We don't really want to have to drill holes in the tiles to fix it to the wall. Is there a shower rail that will actually stay up using tension? We got one from Ikea but it fell down the other night and clouted me in the head! If not, could you recommend one that's easy to permanently fix onto tiles? Thanks

Hello
Can be fixed with silicone.
it will then stick maybe for a few years.
but we recommend drill to the wall for security

I would always suggest installing in to tile for safety, if it is a rental maybe speak to landlord? If this is just not a option I would suggest installing again with a Liquid adhesive In the middle and silicone around the edges

Drill small holes between the grout lines.
If you need to replace it in the future just grout the holes.
Hope this helps.

I can't see silicone holding it, it really needs drilling to the wall
