Leaky conservatory roof

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.51 PM

I have a really old conservatory roof, I think it’s called a pent roof (slants one way). There’s a slight leak when we have heavy, driving rain. My question is, what is the best sealant to use and should I do it from the inside or outside? Many thanks 😁

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Sealant won’t really work it’s only temporary..... need a tradesman to take a look, lead flashings, new cappings, new gaskets, slipped sheets.... hope this helps

Hi redo the all the roof and find a reputable contractor. The problem is you can patch and patch and be doing that forever. If funds are low try contacting a conservatory or window firm they will give you advice. Because I do bricklaying and wet trade work I don't specialise with the final end of completion. I hope this assists with with your issue.
