Shower mixer valve leak

I have a leaking hot/cold mixer valve on my shower. I have put back together with arrangement of rubber washer and e clip but still leaking. Do I need to buy a new valve or can I repair the one I have

Usually the main valve needs replacing.

Hi, Trying to repair a leak is sometimes time consuming, therefore I find it easier and cheaper in the long run to swap out for a like for like replacement

Hi there, Depending on the type of connections that are fitted to the shower. It may not be necessary to replace the shower as you may still have issues after.
Either the shower valve isn’t correctly inlined, may be cross threaded, or the wrong washers are being used.
