Insulation board faux brick , how to stick it to wall

Can I stick insulation board to wood chip wallpaper that’s been painted. The problem I have previous house owners wood chipped everywhere if I strip it I think it will pull a lot of plaster off. I m on a budget so can I stick insulation board directly onto it , I m planing to make faux brick out of it??

For me it's not a good idea 👎 it worth the trouble and time to strip the wood chip off the walls completely beforehand.
Try using a Zinsser Tiger on the paper first then Zinsser Dif Concentrate that will do the job quick 👍

I would recommend in every case to strip walls right back wash and prepare before applying anything on the walls

It depends how well the wood chip is stuck down , everyone knows it’s a nightmare
To get
Off so once it’s not loose it’s okay
To go over it . Just use a
Good adhesive to stock the faux on
