Getting roof plastered in a few weeks, can I paint walls and floor before then?

Got an empty room where a ceiling rose is being removed and the roof re-plastered, would it be fine to laminate floor it and paint walls and skirting boards before then, or is it best to do it after? ta ste

I admire your drive to get the walls painted and the flooring down before the ceiling is plastered but I would avoid doing anything in the room until the ceiling is finished. Plastering, even when done well, is a messy process and the walls will for sure get a good bit of snotting from the ceiling plaster. At a push, the flooring could go in first but would need good heavy-duty protection to ensure it doesn't get marked. Good luck

The last answer is good advice, also laying flooring is like hanging doors when all plastered you must let the moisture content to down otherwise your flooring will expand and cup.

Hi, I would highly recommend waiting until the ceiling has been plastered before painting your walls and laying the floor. Normally best to get all the messier/dusty jobs completed first then you can lay the floor in a clean work space. All the best.
