Hi, I am trying to seek advice on my rights .Had a new presscrete drive laid May the 20th ish 2020. The company was recommended by friend of a friend . I don’t know where i now stand in asking them to return and sort this problem out ,Because I have no experience in this I’m limited what to say and do not want to be palmed off , I’d like to sound like I know a little if I ask him to come back out please . It’s only been laid a few week & first rainfall ( yes been a lot of rain I know ) we notice pooling right outside the front door , a very large area also pooling in the left top corner and again large area near the middle of drive .Is this normal, Can I do anything about it , how should I approach him to say this without causing myself an argument any help really really appreciated, I’m at a loss what to do ,thanks .kelly.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

the company should always give a guaranty on any driveway they supply, i would ask the company to come to site and look at the problem and rectify it, if you don't get any joy with that, i would tell them you are going to seek legal advice, trading standards ect, hope this helps.

With out been rude just ring the company up and explain that you haven’t paid for a drive to hold water or puddle, your drive should be under guarantee so you should have no issues in them coming out to rectify your problem

You should have been given a guarantee. If not any decent contractor will come and rectify the problem. Just don't sound aggressive when you call and you should receive a good response. Just explain the issue and ask them if they'll come and rectify the issue as it's they're mistake

Hi, garry of ogden Pavings, this is not normal, firstly you should have got a ganurtee with the work, ask the company to come back and have a look at the work, if you get no change, there a few way to go, firstly trading standards,, then if he s a member of bark, checkatrader, etc, leave a review,, if not then you can go on Facebook leave a message about is work,
