Can I put cast iron fireplace straight onto the chimney breast?

Hi Can I add a cast iron fireplace onto an untouched chimney breast without going into it so it’s just for decor? I also don’t want to install a hearth at this stage and have seen some where there isn’t one. Any help appreciated.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I don’t see why not as long as it’s just for decoration, just make sure it’s secured properly

As long as it secured to wall properly not a problem just air the chimney stop condensation
