Good day to you, The answer is preferably No, however, it all depends on the situation and the shape of the walls, size of bathroom, shower cubicle, length of ducting from extraction to discharge and external wall discharge party wall issues of the ducting. It is important to note the type and size of the extractor (motor power) and if humidification is installed timer. In general, a lot of builders install it at 90 degrees (one bend only) if distances are short from the source to external wall, and if using normal basic standard extractor fun. Try to design the duct at 45 degrees better, for less draft resistance for extraction. Hope this helps.
