Match appearance blend existing tarmac and new tarmac areas after construction
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.11 PM
Hi, I am designing a building in an existing car park area. The area immediately surrounding the new building will be re-tarmacked thus there will be an area of new tarmac and old tarmac next to each other. They will be different in colour and appearance. Is there any process or product we can use to blend these two areas and reduce the colour texture difference the blend these two areas (new and old) together to reduce the appearance of the different zones?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You can't change the difference in colour unless you bitumin paint seal the old tarmac

Hi, Whatever you do they will never be the same but the best solution available to blend the areas would be to use tarmac restorer; Or bitumen black paint; on both new and old area throughout and smoothly; I recommend 2 Coats to have a better outcome; that will be the best result you can get!!
