50mm OD to 40mm(43mm OD) pipe adaptor

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.11 PM

Hi, I have a floor drain with a 50mm OD waste outlet that I want to connect to standard 43mm OD solvent weld pipe. I bought the only 50mm/40mm adaptor that I could find, but the 40mm end is 40mm OD, not the standard 43mm. Can anyone point me towards the correct adaptor, or tell me the method to connect these two sizes of pipe together? Thanks in advance, Colin.

I have not heard of a 43mm waste pipe before. Solvent weld 40mm watse pipe is a slightly different size to a 40mm push fit waste pipe. If that is the case then use a compression coupler/reducer as that will connect to both. Hope this helps.

Hi you will need a 2”compression reducer that will allow you to connect the 43mm waste pipe or a 43mm compression straight which can be attached to the 43mm side and then a piece of 40mm solvent weld pipe into your 50mm to 40mm reducer and welded int your 50mm pipe, problem solved.
