Pocket fire doors in kitchen

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.10 PM

Hello, If I am fitting a pocket fire door in the kitchen do I need a pocket fire door kit or can I use a standard pocket door kit? It might be an obvious question Thanks

Hi there, I know that on the eclisse systems you are able to use a normal system with the fire door, it just means that 1 - the brushes on the second fix kit are hard to get in and 2 - the door won’t have an automated door closer fitted. On the fire rated one there is a sprung loaded system that meets standards for fire regs 👍🏻

Only fit fire doors to fire rated pocket systems as it will have the relevant seals and meet insurance standards
