Removing gas fire what’s best to put in its place

I’m removing my gas fireplace as it’s an eyesore and don’t like the fact it is gas powered. It has a marble surround so was wondering about options for things to go in it’s place and what sort of tradesman I’ll needs to do so. The removal is sorted it’s just the bit after need help with

If you have a chimney most people go for a real log burner. Very economical much sort after. A real fire will add value to your home to. At Mr sweeps stove shop in Essex you can view burner gas fires and discuss options.

Totally agree with the last comment but get it swept first , Cardiff chimney sweeps are probably the best sweeps around and they also install , probably too far away from you though , so get it swept , then tidied up then put a nice log burner in and it will definitely put value on your home
