Recently had a room skimmed (now dried). son got into the room and damaged some of the plaster edges around the door. Architrave is now on but I have a gap to fill

Gap is next to the architrave where he damaged new plaster. gap approx 1 - 2 cm wide and goes down wall around 30cm. What is the best thing to use to repair it? Patch plaster? Polyfilla? Gyproc easi fill?

Fill it a few times with decorators caulk, which is a flexible filler. This will move with the crack if the crack decides to increase in size.
Any other fillers would eventually drop out if the crack was to grow.
Hope this helps

Gyproc Easi-fill is the way to go...dries quick and sands down to an excellent finish.
