Garage Roof Leak

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.30 PM

We have a garage attached to the gable end of the house, and water is leaking in where the garage roof meets the gable end. When looking up from inside the garage I can see bits of daylight, so the lead work clearly needs attention. However when I look at the gable end of the house above the pitch of the garage roof it appears that mortar was chiseled out for the garage roof to be at a different pitch, and I think I can see bits of damp proof course? Is it likely just to be the lead work that needs attention or is this likely to be causing further issues?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

As above sound like lead flashings many roofers get the angle of step flashings incorrect maybe the reason it looks ok from outside but not the inside. Damp poof visible has me puzzled. If you attach a picture zoomed in as much as possible maybe able to diagnose as it’s hard to say without looking. Hope this helps
