How to couple verticals soil pipe, solvent weld to push fit
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.30 PM
Hi, I have need of connecting 110 solvent weld soil pipe from my upstairs bathroom to the existing vertical push fit stack. The stack is inside the house and encapsulated but I can access the about 1m from the ground. I can find a female push fit to male solvent spigot, but that would be connecting the push fit against the flow. Ideally I would have a female solvent couple with male push fit spigot - does such a thing exist or would the female push fit work? Many thanks for any help!

Hi,
Best to get flexible 110mm connection they come in any angles you need, so then you can put a pipe in it and connect a solvent weld straight connector to connect whatever you desire.

You can get a rubber dc1 which would transition to any 110 but if I were you I would pop to a good plumbers merchant and see if they have the fitting but most push fit fittings 110 will fit solvent pipe. Just make sure you lubricate the seal first.

You can use a a slip coupling which has rubber seals on both sides of the fitting. Allowing you to slide up and down the pipe with ease.
You must use silicone lube. Otherwise you will push the rubber seals out of position inside the fitting. And you also have to shampher both ends of the 4 inch pipe so that the fitting slides on easily.
