Paint flaking off new plaster

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.49 PM

Hi Just had my whole house plastered and have began painting. I did a mist coat using white emulsion with a ratio of 70/30. I then started painting the celling edges with my 1st cost of regular emulsion, upon returning the nedt day this is flaking off in most places. How do i fix this?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Did you use Matt paint to mist coat the plaster first if so then the plaster will most likely still be damp

DiD you seal the plaster first before painting ? if not you need to seal all areas with sealer and start again. prep before painting is very important or you have wasted your time.

The Ratio should be 50/50 and the preparation of Dust free is crewcial and sometimes paint should be mixp properly before applying
