Distance from external boiler flue/vent to side of conservatory

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.49 PM

Thanks for the responses. Another quick question, which may sound silly, but what tradesman would be able to move the kitchen extractor outlet/vent - electrician? Thanks so much. Hi We are looking at building an Edwardian conservatory - 4x4 - and one of the sides will be quite close to the external boiler flue. The conservatory is at the back of the property. What is the regulated/permitted distance from the flue to the side of the conservatory. Also, the previous owner installed a extractor unit in the kitchen that you switch on manually and the vent for this will be inside the proposed conservatory. Is this allowed? Many thanks in advance.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

U cant vent into a conservatory need to go outside, the boiler flu can be extended with bends to relocate out the way due to heat and fumes

the recommended distance is 300mm from an opening window you can also put an aluminium l shape plate facing the side of conservatory to protect from the heat as for the vent from kitchen into conservatory would have to be moved more so for the smell of cooking and fumes not being pushed in the property
