Damp ceiling, want to knock non load bearing wall down
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.32 PM
Can I do this? There has been damp there for sometime and apparently it's just condensation or the chimney needs repointing. Do you think the rafters will collapse if this cupboard is removed?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

From your description there really isn't sufficient information to give informed advice. I think this is a situation where you need to get an experienced builder or a building surveyor to take a look for you. It is far less expensive to get a qualified person to look and confirm that removal is ok than the cost of the repairs if you get it wrong.
