What can I do to make a good job as the change of colour may need several coats Or can I paint the Dark Oak with a WHITE Emulsion first and then the coloured Fencelife of Light Blue

Hello , yes this is possible painting the fence with a white primer would reduce the amount of colour coats you will need to apply.

To completely alter the color of the finish, strip down the existing stain using a petroleum-based solvent. Once you've lightened the wood, you may add a lighter color of stain.

Hi if you give your fence a good jet wash it will take a lot of the colour out and would be much easier to paint
