Can i use a saniflow from the log cabin at the end of my garden to the main house drain?
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.30 PM
I am building a log cabin at the end of my garden. I need to use a saniflow for a toilet and shower to pump the soil and waste water 48m down the length of the garden to connect to the house main drain. The cabin floor will be approx. 350mm above the grass level, therefore the waste pipe will drop directly approx 600mm to be 250mm under the grass but will run level until it connects to the existing drain which is only 250mm below the grass / footpath.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

After reading this on Google the distance doesn't sound like a problem... other smaller models might be suitable too.
(Sanicubic is part of our professional range and is a pump for discharge of waste from multiple WC's and other waste water producing appliances. The waste is pumpedthrough 50mm pipework. It pumps up to 11m vertically or 100m horizontally or a lesser combination of vertical and horizontal.)
The deciding factor is the fall over thie distance, you will need a consistent down hill slope from toilet to waste connection.
It might be slightly more expensive but depending on fall, you might be able to Tee into main waste and run a 4" pipe to the out building and not need to pump waste

Hi,
The Saniflo is a great machine. The fall and distance are fine and I suggest after the initial 22mm outlet from the machine you fit a plastic 22mm to 32mm
Adapter ( from Plumbcentre) and run all the underground pipework in 32mm plastic waste pipe.. This will allow you to fit into the main waste pipe with solvent welded pipework which is stronger, it is also better from a blockage point of view. Pop in a rodding eye at the chalet end and Bobs your uncle. Don’t forget to protect the underground pipe from spades and forks.
Best of luck.
