What to put between drywall and shed roof

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.09 PM

Hi. Any advice on how to fill the gap between plasterboard and the shed roof? It's about 6cm. I don't think I can use coving as the angle is more than 90 degrees. Thought about dado rail but there's nothing to stick it to! Thank you

I haven't seen your shed so this is really a suggestion. You could use expanding foam. Get it from any DIY store or merchants. But remember it is expanding foam and will expand. So test a bit first with a small area so you can see how much it does expand. Once dry, take a Stanley knife or saw and cut the amount off which has expanded past the boards. Hope this helps.

Use some rock wool. U need to have an air gap so the roof doesn’t sweat and rot the roof timber or make the drywall soggy.

Use celotex or rockwool, you’ll need an air gap between the roof timbers and the insulation to stop the roof sweating and rotting.
