Glass veranda for front porch
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.29 PM
Hi, I am considering a glass veranda(or something like that) for my outdoor space at the front of my house. It wont be an extension as it is within the premises of my property. Having done a bit of research they seem to charge exorbitant prices.I have got walls on three sides. So will need just a roof. Its a 16 sq.m area. Can someone tell me if there is a better option? Thanks
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Why would you want a green house at the front of the house..? Are you getting a grow on...? But seriously I think you need to re think the purpose of the structure before wasting any money on something that will be totally unpractical for everyday use...! Or spend a couple of hundred pounds on an architect to tick the box's and the roof design they should design to fit within your budget..

hello there I've installed a few open front glass self clean roofs over the years at the rear of the home but not at the front you could probably get away with this design it really Down to the area

The Veranda specific roof systems do work out more expensive but give a sleeker look as the guttering etc all come very concealed. You can, in most cases, use a conservatory roof system which normally works out cheaper and still give a good finish.

I think it is a bit rude to dash a customers plans by saying what do you want that for? Maybe this customer does need some help and guidance to archive the best design for their property. Unfortunately an Architect will not always give free advise.
