Radiators not turning on, despite boiler being turned on

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.49 PM

Hi everyone Needing some advice/help please! I have a Vaillant Eco Plus boiler and despite turning on the heating, the ‘flame’ icon doesn’t appear and only the ‘tap’ icon remains - the temperature doesn’t go up either. However, when I turn the hot water on, both the ‘radiator’ icon and ‘flame’ icon both appear and the boiler ignites, so hot water is not a problem. The pressure gauge is OK and I’ve released some more pressure into the tank (just in case) and I’ve also bled all the radiators in the house. However, even the water coming out of the radiators are cold and the pipes remain cold. Please can anyone let me know what the potential issue is and whether I can fix it? Looking forward to hearing from everyone. Thanks in advance, Sarah

Maybe the hot tap has a leak causing the boiler to stay in hot water mode

Flow switch is stuck and overriding the heating,on these boilers the wiring harness can also corrode giving same problem

Hi Sarah it's might be diverter valve or central heating control issue. And if you have system boiler then it could be zone valve.
