Fixing Clips for Composite Top Mounted Sink?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.49 PM

I have a query with regards to the securing clips for a composite kitchen sink I have purchased. It came with no clips or brackets (it was cheap) but it seems to be completely different to the sort of clips I’ve ever fitted a kitchen sink with before? I’m just wondering if anybody could help? The sink appears to have equal spaced posts fitted around it that look like they would accept some form of circlip fitting but I have no idea how or if the clips exist to secure the sink to the worktop? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Martyn.

Hi if you can’t find the right clips to secure it your best way would be to seal edge off sink cut out in worktop then silicone sink into cut out thanks. Mark

Every composite sink I have fitted came With the appropriate fixing brackets etc, if you got it cheap and they are missing that probably why. They can be stuck down, it’s not how the manufacturer specifies but it will work, weigh the drainer side down with something heave, ontop of a peoce of ply spanning the permimeter and fill the bowl(S) with water, leave over night and that should be fine. Good luck

Hi , Some sink come without clip if its heavy enough. And in that case we always use silicon to secure sink to worktop. Apply silocon around edge continuously without leaving gap and than install sink to worktop and leave some extea weight on top of for atleast 2to 3 hour.
