Can my neighbour build upto my fence?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.48 PM

My neighbourhas built a part wooden part concrete patio. They have concreted upto my fence posts and butt it right up to my fence panels. Now we cannot remove the fence panels to maintain the fence. What can we do about it. I am a council tennant and they say i need to take it up with my solicitor!!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Bit of a tuff one but are they council tenants and I would contact you're housing officers and take photos aswell and maybe post the photos on here aswell cause when you say part wood part concrete it's hard to picture just exactly what's going on.

If it is on their side they are in their rights to do it, I would have thought. I would still be able to remove your fencing and replace being careful. But if you are unsure then contact the council office.
