Fencing

Which way should gravel boards be facing?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.31 PM

Hi We are installing a fence along a boundary with a neighbour but the boundary is their responsibility. We were going to pay the full cost but they have offered to pay half. As this is their boundary should we put the ‘good’ side of the concrete posts and gravel boards facing them, as a courtesy. They have let us choose what fencing we like so it matches with the fencing that is already in place on our boundary. Thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If it’s their boundary and they are paying half then the best side should be on their side.... or maybe just have a chat with them and see what they think

Gravel border face the owners side doesn’t mater who paid for the fence.

If it’s there boundary out of decency they should give you the good side and as your paying half for there fence you should be able to take your pick
