No Hot Water due to Tripped Circuit

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.31 PM

No hotwater due to Tripped hotwater circuit. The hotwater cylinder is regularly without hot water due to tripped circuit. The hot water come back on once the switch at fusebox switch back to ON. However sometime it would switch it back to OFF overnight. The hot water is now completely gone and I suspect it is the fault with the immersion elements. Could it be other reason ?

Sounds like there is a fault developing with the element or thermostat within the water tank. You need to get an electrician to replace them. Now the water has completely gone, it definitely needs a new element.

You obviously have a fault, but pinpointing which component is causing it will require testing by an electrician, otherwise you may replace the element only to find you still have the fault, swapping things until it works can prove to be costly

This fault is not user rectifiable , a fault has developed to earth causing the circuit breaker or RCD to trip when the immersion heater is energised which is normally caused when the heater element has become exposed to the water in the tank . A test needs to be done to determine the fault probably ending with the immersion heater needing to be replaced.

More than likely an issue with your Thermostat or Element but should also check the hard wiring supplying the immersion heater. You will need an electrician to test and rectify the problem.
