Toliet blocked saniflo.
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.31 PM
I have a Saniflo fitted in our ensuite its is working fine when you show and fine with the sink. It just seems like there is a blockage in the toilet again saniflo seem to work fine with all but if you flush the toilet will back up and take a couple of minutes to clear. How can I unblock this is there a form of chemical you can use to unblock them? Any advise will be helpful.

I had a Saniflow fitted in my previous property and eventually had the same symptoms as you are experiencing. Soon after the pipe gave way and liquid shit streamed down into my living room walls. If you phone saniflow, they have their own team of specialists who can come out. I my case I claimed the cost back through my home insurance. Good luck.

DEFINITELY don’t pour any chemicals down the loo as it will damage the motor in the saniflo.
To prevent the motor burning out the machine will cut off when the blades inside get blocked or jammed.
Turn off the electric before attempting any repair, then put on some gloves and disconnect the unit from the toilet pan outlet.
Take off the lid and clean out the unit by hand and dispose of all the waste and toilet paper and wipe the unit clean. Then reconnect, turn on power and test. It’s not a nice or easy job goodluck!

It could be that the macerator is blocked stopping the blades turning. If the pump still turns on to clear the basin and shower water the float switch should be fine? Not the nicest of things to work on. I usually only replace.
