Run 22 or 15 mm pipe

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.31 PM

I am changing my bathroom so putting in a new suite that includes a shower, is it beneficial to run hot and cold 22mm to all the fixtures and then branch of with 15mm to the sink and shower , would this achieve a better flow rate and a better shower. I have a worcester green star cdi 38 classic . Thank you, kind regards frank

Yes this would be the way to go, better water flow, and better distribution. Kind Regards Richard

Well, it won't make much difference really. Combi’s have a 15mm outlet as they are designed for that exit. 22mm wont make much difference in hot water performance.

If you have a Combi Boiler then you only need 15ml pipe for all hot and cold outlets.

Combi’s have a 15mm outlet as they are designed for hot water to be run in 15mm, 22mm would actually hinder the hot water performance (I.e. not getting as hot as the combi could provide).
