Gazebo 5:12 pitch 22,5deg Width 2.4m Depth 3m

Hello, I’m building a gazebo with a pitched roof, I am at the point of installing the rise posts and ridge board, the rafters will overhang slightly so the length of each rafter will be 1300mm. Can you please advise what size timber would be best to use for posts, ridge board and rafters? Is 150x47 timber too large/heavy? Is there a rafter span I need to stick to? What’s the best way to join rise post with ridge beam and rafters? Also what size battens? Thank you very very much for your advice! Andi (sorry, first ever project of this sort)

Are you putting shingles or tiles on top?... what weight per m2 if anything?... sizes of all timbers depend on how much weight it supporting.
If it’s just open top with no covering then you can use 6” x 1” ridge.. 4” x 2” spars.. 4” x 2” wall plate (flat timber fixed to top of posts) and 4” x 4” posts.. all to be tantalised treated timber... hope this helps
