Aftercare from jet washing my block paving?

Hi all! So I’ve jet washed the block paving and the guy next door has said about me needing to brush sand into it and then seal it? I just nodded and said “I know” cause I felt a bit embarrassed that I didn’t know that I’m meant to do that. So can anybody tell me what I’m meant to do and where’s gonna be cost effective for me to order the stuff to do it from? Money’s tight obviously with the current situation. Thanks in advance!

The guy next door is right because when you jet wash the block paving is a chance to remove the sand and they start getting loose.

Yes you need to wait until perfectly dry then brush in kiln dry sand (sika sand) into the joint with a normal medium brush... the seal it with block paving sealer

You don’t have to seal block paving although it would help protect it as when you jet wash you take the protective film off. As for sanding in the gaps that’s only if there are gaps in between the paving if you do need to you wouldn’t need much at all probably 10% of what was originally used.

Seal the block paving achieves nothing it just requires the blocks resanding with kiln dried sand and brushing in

Kiln dried sand to brush into block paving would be the least expensive as you can buy just a bag from any wholesalers such as wickes or b&Q all that does is to stop and blocks from rocking after you’ve jet washed and took the old sand out.
