Self leveling underlay.

Hi all I have taken the old tiled floor up that was laid on floorboards (ground floor with a void underneath). I've seen self leveling underlay for laminate but not vinyl. Is self leveling underlay preferably with a built in DPM (not a must) something that exists?? Thank you for any advice. Regards Kieran

Not really, they do a product call everlay which is a fibreglass underlay but it’s used in commercial flooring. Ideally you should have the floorboards plied to give you a smooth finish

I think you mean underlay slabs or roll for your laminate floor? Not self levelling latex compound?
If so you can get underlay roll that has a foil back... hope this helps

Depends what you are laying on the floorboards.I would suggest a 6mm ply and then you can lay vinyl, or underlay for laminate.A DPM is not needed.

If your talking about Vinyl then we must assume it’s click vinyl, in this case any imperfections in the subfloor need to be resolved first, the joints on a click LVT will not hold on soft or spongey underlays
