I have seen many bio ethanol burners sitting on top of decking but never one inserted into the decking this is not me saying it cannot be done as I’m pretty sure there would be a way to install it within certain regulations

any burner comes in a heat proof unit. they are usually above ground so putting one into a deck might look a bit odd? you would have to build a frame or something around it which defeats the purpose of having a fire burner. to answer the question yes you can fit a burner into a deck.

You could incorporate one by making a designated area within the decking for it, making sure there are know other flammable materials next to it. you use a stone surround compartment then insert into the structure you have made to contain it then you can lay decking around it. Always be mindful of using equipment like this.

I can't see why you couldn't do it if you left efficient gap around it for air circulation and cooling so the deck wouldn't get too hot
