Plumb in washing machine and dryer to waste under sink

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.48 PM

Trying to figure out the best way forward with appliance plumbing. I have bought a washing machine and condenser dryer for our new house. The existing waste has x2 32mm threaded outlets, don't know if previous people removed the actual bit that waste pushes onto or not however I want to plumb the condenser aswell but the pipe is really small and it didn't come with an adapter. First option is get a standard adapter to fit washing machine and a second adapter that would screw onto the 32mm and convert it to a small push fit of around, 9mm however can't seem to find this anywhere. The other option was cap one side, and get an elbow that has the standard waste push on and also a small push fit got dryer. Thirdly would be replace the full trap but doesn't solve the small 9mm I need for dryer. Can get to a screwfix or bq but need to click and collect so can't get down to see what I need and website not picking up my searches. Any help would be appreciated thanks A drain hose is supplied with the condenser so just need the fitting. 32mm screw on to around 9mm. I see the kits come with the adapter but I just need the fitting with washing fitting and condenser fitting but can't seem to find separately. What is the correct name for it? Only one I've found is xavax spyhon? But not available. From looking around, the connection that has washing machine and dryer drain is a European part and I can't seem to find an internal diameter of 32mm 135 degree swivel nozzle only.

Hi there If you look at mc alpine fittings im sure you will find what you need , if your near the kitchen sink ? they are traps under the sink units you can buy to have washer or condenser fittings , extension hoses ect could be used to get to the sink , but if you have a waste trap already to go outside keep looking for a fitting

Hi You need to look for a condenser dryer drain kit...can get them from Amazon or Ebay around 20 quid, will come with everything you need, Just make sure that the drain height is no higher than 1 meter from the pump on the dryer as usually any higher than that the dryer pump isn't strong enough.. Buy a washing machine p trap stand pipe and feed both wastes into it . This could easily be fitted into a undersink formation.

Hi any waste from a kitchen sink should be 40mm then you will easily be able to find the correct fittings to accommodate appliance wastes , ideally a washing machine trap with an Extra outlet designed for that
