Is it possible to restore/replace wooden floor filler to a good finish?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.48 PM

Is it possible to restore floor filler in between wooden floorboards where it has cracked? And is it possible to do this without affecting the rest of the floor, and getting a good finish that matches?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Whilst I think the answer to use wax is exactly right, I would prefer to use a bees wax such as Liberon in a tin, applied with a soft cloth which will give a better blend into the area to be treated. A personal view, but I have great faith in this type of wax and have used it very successfully on large and small areas of floor.

You can use wax to a degree but the colours are not always the best so a wood dye can be mixed up to colour match. Regards Colin
